Host & managing director
Gerhard Schaffer is the sole managing director of Day Break Mountain Adventures and Safari Cc. He generally looks after travel arrangements personally, takes personal charge of caring for guests, and makes himself fully available for an unusually personal experience.
The farm
In November 2022 the farm was bought from the van Zyl family, who had run it as a cattle and sheep farm for generations. The family remains on friendly terms with the farm today. The farmhouse has kept the character of an earlier era and was carefully renovated inside; on the terrace there is a whirlpool overlooking the waterhole and the horses.
The property is owned by Day Break Mountain Adventures and Safari Cc, P.O. 29596 Windhoek, Namibia.
The team
The farm’s service team keeps everything running day to day — from the kitchen to the rooms.
